Up and Over Doors

Up and over garage doors are the easily the most popular style of door on the market, thanks in large part to their low cost making them great value for money! There are two basic types of canopy garage and retractable garage doors.

How Up and Over Doors Work

The Canopy Garage Door operates in vertical tracks on the side frame, normally with a single cable and spring operated. As it opens it pivots needing approximately 80mm clearance which then forms a canopy as it then slides into the garage roof Canopy Garage Doors are also available unframed without the track frames for installation to existing timber frames or a factory fitted steel frame. The Retractable Garage Door swings out and up an over to slide away in the garage roof . With Retractable Garage Doors the circular pivot means taking up some driveway space. A frame of 75mm x 75mmm is used.
